When Charlotte came across Robert’s photo of the Falls Park Mesa, the light in this piece took her breath away. She knew she had to recreate that feel with painted fiber. She used water color pigments thinned with homemade soy milk as a thinner (to make the pigment permanent) to create the color she needed to capture the feel of the original image. As an artist, she can usually find something I would do differently, but in this piece she feels totally satisfied with the outcome. She feels this is the best of my three pieces inspired by Robert Lefkow’s Photographs.
