Luna Mesa

When Charlotte looked through Roberts photos his photo of Luna Mesa captured her interest. She loved all the different layers of color and thought it would translate into fabric really well. She painted the sky and choosing fabric that matched the photo as closely as possible. Once the fabric was chosen she cut small pieces which were lightly glued down and then sewing into place with clear Monopoly thread. The trees were created with fabric and thread. She did some thread painting and quilting but felt the piece still needed something, so she attached the beads to enhance the rabbit brush in the foreground one bead at a time with a needle and thread.
